Vietnamese apparel manufacturing company Regent Garment Co is opening its third production facility in Hải Dương province with an investment worth US $ 39 million.
Located in the Nguyên Giáp Industrial Complex in Tứ Kỳ District, the decision for new facility came after having received approval in principle from Hải Dương People’s Committee.
The third production facility of Regent Garment, an affiliate of Hong Kong’s Crystal International Group, will have the annual production capacity of 28 million products and will create 4900 local job opportunities.
It may be noted here that the company already has two factories operating in the province. Located in Nam Sách Industrial Zone (IZ), the first factory was built with worth US $ 64 million in 2006 while the second factory was established in Lai Vu IZ in 2014 with an investment of US $ 124 million.
Hải Dương province has attracted lots of investment in recent times. 13 foreign-invested projects worth more than US $ 103.3 million were granted licences in the province. 32 other projects were approved additional capital of more than US $ 318.6 million.
Apart from it, seven domestic projects worth VNĐ 642.6 billion were granted license. The province also revised five other projects up by VNĐ 71.53 billion.
In current year also, the provincial IZ Management Board is planning to grant licences to 20 foreign-invested projects worth about US $ 100 million and adjust the capital of 20 others by roughly US $ 100 million.
Three domestic projects valued at about VNĐ 100 billion are also expected to be licensed, while nearly VNĐ 50 billion will be added to two other projects.
